Roof replacement in Hudson and nearby towns
A new roof built for New England winters, with ice-and-water protection, new flashing and proper ventilation. Installed by the same team that handles your siding, so everything ties together at the edges.
Every roof replacement, in the order we do it
A roof is only as good as what's under the shingles. Here's what happens on your house.
Permit and material order
We pull the building permit your town requires and order all materials before the crew arrives.
Tear-off
We strip the old roof down to the wood deck and protect your landscaping and siding while we work.
Deck inspection
We check the roof deck for rot or soft spots and show you anything we find before replacing it.
Ice-and-water shield
A waterproof membrane along the eaves and in the valleys, where ice dams and leaks start.
Underlayment and drip edge
Synthetic underlayment over the rest of the deck and new metal drip edge on every edge.
Flashing
New flashing around chimneys, walls, vents and skylights, the most common places for leaks.
Roof installation
Installed to the manufacturer's specs so your warranty stays valid.
Ventilation
Ridge vent and intake so the attic can breathe, which helps prevent ice dams and extends roof life.
Cleanup and walkthrough
Magnetic nail sweep of the yard and driveway, then we walk the job with you before we call it done.

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most asphalt roofs take one to three days, depending on the size and shape of the roof. Metal and cedar take longer. Once you sign your contract, you'll get a schedule for your job.
What if it rains during the job?
We only open as much roof as we can close the same day, and we watch the forecast closely. If weather moves in, the roof is covered before we leave.
Do I need to be home?
No, but it will be loud during tear-off. Please move cars out of the driveway and anything fragile off walls inside, since hammering can shake things loose.
Do you handle the building permit?
Yes. We pull the permit your town requires and schedule any inspections.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes. The inspection and written quote are both free, with no obligation.
